For those who feel called to offer deeper presence, reverence, and skill during the sacred window immediately after death, this half-day training offers a grounded, heart-centred introduction to ceremonial care of the body. Designed for funeral directors, end-of-life doulas, soul midwives, bereavement professionals, hospice staff, therapists, holistic practitioners, and anyone wishing to enrich their practice with meaningful, compassionate, and spiritually-attuned bodycare, this session equips you with both the practical and the profound.
Across four hours, we explore the ritual, physiology, emotional language, ethics, and choreography of caring for a body after death—with a focus on calm leadership, trauma sensitivity, God-inspired compassion, gentle technique, and the deep honouring of the individual’s story and faith/belief background.
You will leave with a clear understanding of what supportive ceremonial care looks like in contemporary holistic funeral practice, how to safely support a family through the process if they wish to be involved, and how to bring authenticity, confidence, and sacredness to one of the most intimate acts of service offered at the end of life.
